From the venue
About Torbay Jazz Festival 2026 will take place from 30 October to 1 November, centred around the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC), with confirmed support and partnerships already in place, including the RICC, RBH Hospitality Management (Mercure Paignton and Ibis Styles Paignton), The Indigo Hotel and The Grand Hotel. We are particularly pleased to have secured an outstanding inaugural programme, led by acclaimed British jazz legend Courtney Pine as our Saturday night headline artist as part of his 40th Anniversary Tour. Other featured artists include Clare Teal, who will act as Festival Host (MC) and perform with her Quintet, together with BBC Radio 3 presenter and award-winning musician Soweto Kinch, alongside internationally respected US artists Carla Cook, Deborah Brown and Rick Margitza. We are also honoured to be working with London’s legendary 606 Club, which will both (i) curate a dedicated 50th Anniversary Stage throughout the weekend, plus (ii) oversee the festival’s music programming and production standards, alongside Devon-based Waggle Events as part of our event production & delivery team. The weekend will conclude with the 606 Club All-Stars Jazz Brunch at the RICC on Sunday. In addition, each of our hotel partners is organising their own Sunday Jazz Brunch at their respective venues, with our TJF Team coordinating their musical input, thus creating a wonderful musical feel on a late October Sunday afternoon on the English Riviera! A key feature of the event will be the Festival Village at the RICC Arena. Subject to ongoing discussions, we hope to incorporate Food & Drink Devon producers and suppliers, creating a free-to-attend public showcase on Saturday from 12:00 pm–5:00 pm, before the space transitions into the ticketed hospitality hub for our weekend passport and corporate guests during our evening programmes.
